THOUSAND OAKS, CALIF., March 10, 2025 — The In-Between: Senior Art Exhibit 2025 provides California Lutheran University’s senior art students an opportunity to beautifully communicate their deeply personal journeys, exploring the moments that link their past, present and hoped-for future. The free exhibition runs March 20 through May 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays in the William Rolland Gallery of Fine Art on the Cal Lutheran campus. The opening reception will be 4-6:30 p.m., March 20.
“Each student enters their senior year with unique interests and skills,” said Jesse Groves, curator of Galleries and Exhibitions and Visual Arts faculty member. “Through collaboration with selected faculty members, they refine their craft and push their creative boundaries. The In-Between showcases the culmination of that journey — a personal and diverse collection of artworks that highlight the artists’ growth.”
The exhibition features the art of nine students, who selected The In-Between theme. Their pieces draw inspiration from nature, human experiences and storytelling through photography, graphic design and digital art, along with illustrations and paintings.
In the Visual Arts program, students explore a diverse range of artistic forms and approaches, developing their skills for both personal expression and professional application. This exploratory art and design curriculum allows students to work across various mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, graphic design, animation, visual effects and photography, providing a well-rounded foundation for careers in creative industries.
Cal Lutheran is located at 60 W. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks. There is no cost to attend the opening reception and exhibition.
