DUBUQUE, Iowa — Cal Lutheran men’s volleyball is dancing to the Final Four.
The Kingsmen and the Loras College Duhawks played an instant classic on Saturday night as the Kingsmen prevailed 3-2 to advance to the NCAA Division III Championship Final Four. Scores of the match were 25-17, 25-22, 20-25, 23-25, 15-13.
The Kingsmen were in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history, winning their Sweet 16 and Elite Eight matches.
Kingsmen Jordan Cooper, Taylor Marks and Michael Stahl were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Stahl led the way with 21 kills while hitting .436. He made it a double-double and added a match-high 15 digs. Cooper was next with 15 kills and Ben Weber had 13. Marks kept the offense moving with 54 assists and recorded a double-double with 11 digs. Logan Marks had 11 digs and Borys Horiuk and Matthew Wilcox had six kills each.
The Kingsmen will return to Loras College as the Duhawks will host the Final Four and championship matches starting Friday.
